Have your female students be a part of the Miss North Carolina High
School Scholarship Pageant. Each school can send as many
representatives as they would like. The winner will travel to Branson,
Missouri in March of 2011, expenses paid, to compete for the title of
Miss High School America and a $10,000 cash scholarship.

BigSun Scholarship
The scholarship for the BigSun Organization has a deadline of June 24, 2010.
We are proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  The successful applicant will be currently involved in athletics in some capacity, either for their school or for their community.

NEW SCHOLARSHIP FOR SENIOR ATHLETES: Cummings & Cummings Scholarship – requirements: 2010 WCHS graduate, attending college this Fall, 3.0 weighted GPA, participated in at least 1 high school athletic team, high school transcript, SAT or ACT score, 3 letters of recommendation, resume, and application.  value:  $1,000.  Deadline:  due to Ms. Swain no later than May 20th.  Winner will be announced at the Awards Assembly on 5/24.

Attention Class of 2011 Rising Seniors - Wendy’s High School Heisman Award – honors both male & female students who:  1.excel in academics (at least a “B” grade average);  2. excel in athletics (participating in at least 1 school-sponsored sport);  and 3. excel in student leadership.  Any eligible student can register and begin the application process  now:

Sunshine Lady Foundation Scholarships: Based on financial need and merit.  Application available by calling 393.7146 or request application at slfscholarships@usa.net  Provide full name, mailing address and phone number to receive application.  It is suggested application be secured by May 1 to allow time to complete extensive required information.  FAFSA required.  Deadline:  July 1, 2010.
