The key to all financial aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA)
Students may file online by going to: www.fafsa.ed.gov
You must apply for a PIN number to apply online by going
to www.pin.ed.gov Paper applications are no longer available except upon request. You may request a paper application by calling 1-800-4FED-AID (433-3243).
Help is available through the financial aid office at Carteret Community College.
FAFSA forms should be filed as soon after January 1 as is possible.
Some colleges and universities also require that you file a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE form. Contact the college you plan to attend to determine whether they require this form, or see your counselor.
