Communities in Schools (CIS) & its partners have several volunteer opportunities for students. Participating in these opportunities may help with applications to college, National Honor Society, scholarships, etc. CIS will tally your volunteer hours and give you a letter for your resume’ at the end of the year. A couple of opportunities now: “Hand-in-Hand” tutoring math at Boys and Girls Club and working at the Maritime Museum in Beaufort.
